In the year 1870 Charles Netter founded the “Mikveh Israel” school.
It was the first agricultural school in Israel.
Charles Netter arrived to Israel from France.
In Israel he spoke with the Jews. He asked them questions about their lives.
The Jews told him that they want to study agriculture.
Charles Netter collected donations and built the school.
He was the first principal of the school.
The first students studied agriculture. They planted trees and flowers.
The school succeeded very much, and many students enrolled in it.
The alumni of the school founded in 1939 a village and named it “Kfar Netter”.

בִּשְׁנַת אֶלֶף שְׁמוֹנֶה מֵאוֹת וְשִׁבְעִים (1870) הֵקִים קַרְל נֶטֶר אֶת בֵּית הַסֵפֶר “מִקְוֶוה יִשְׂרָאֵל”.
זֶה הָיָה בֵּית הַסֵפֶר הַחַקְלָאִי הָרִאשׁוֹן בְּאֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל.
קַרְל נֶטֶר הִגִיעַ לְאֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל מִצָרְפָת.
בְּאֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל הוּא דִיבֵּר עִם הַיְהוּדִים. הוּא שָׁאַל אוֹתָם שְׁאֵלוֹת עַל הַחַיִים שֶׁלָהֶם.
הַיְהוּדִים סִיפְּרוּ לוֹ שֶׁהֵם רוֹצִים לִלְמוֹד חַקְלָאוּת.
קַרְל נֶטֶר אָסַף תְרוּמוֹת וּבָנָה אֶת בֵּית הַסֵפֶר.
הוּא הָיָה הַמְנַהֵל הָרִאשׁוֹן שֶׁל בֵּית הַסֵפֶר.
הַתַלְמִידִים הָרִאשׁוֹנִים לָמְדוּ חַקְלָאוּת. הֵם נָטְעוּ עֵצִים וְשָׁתְלוּ פְּרָחִים.
בֵּית הַסֵפֶר הִצְלִיחַ מְאוֹד, וְהַרְבֵּה תַלְמִידִים נִרְשְׁמוּ אֵלָיו.
הַבּוֹגְרִים שֶׁל בֵּית הַסֵפֶר הֵקִימוּ בִּשְׁנַת אֶלֶף תֵשַׁע מֵאוֹת שְׁלוֹשִׁים וָתֵשַׁע (1939) כְּפָר, וְקָרְאוּ לוֹ “כְּפַר נֶטֶר”.
